We are excited to announce the first confirmed speakers for the Summit Series Multi Events weekend. Both Petros Kyprianou and Ronald Vetter bring a wealth of experience and international success to the programme, setting the tone for a high-quality, insightful weekend of development for athletes and coaches alike.
We are proud to welcome Petros Kyprianou, one of the most accomplished combined events coaches in the world, and Ronald Vetter, a highly respected leader in Dutch multi-event coaching, as the first confirmed speakers for the Summit Series Multi Events.
Petros Kyprianou has coached athletes to over 30 NCAA titles, Olympic and World Championship medals, and two NCAA team titles. He has been named NCAA National Coach of the Year three times and has worked with some of the world’s best decathletes and heptathletes, including Maicel Uibo, Kendell Williams, and Kyle Garland. Currently the Director of Track & Field at the University of Illinois, his theoretical presentation will explore a multidimensional technical model for combined events, while his practical session will focus on strategies and key drills to maximise technical efficiency.
Ronald Vetter, national coach for combined events in the Netherlands, has guided eight athletes to 16 medals at senior European Championships, World Championships, and Olympic Games. His work emphasizes smart planning and training individualisation, especially for athletes with varying levels of natural talent. In his theoretical session, he will explore the complex puzzle of training load and adaptation, while his practical session shares his streamlined approach to teaching technically demanding events like the javelin throw.
More speaker names will be announced as additional agreements are finalised. The Summit Series programme will continue to grow in depth and quality, aiming to support the development of combined events across all levels.
📌 Stay tuned for updates as we expand the speaker line-up in the coming weeks.
